Video: Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin nets own goal for Real Betis
Arsenal star Hector Bellerin, currently on loan at Real Betis in Spain, scored a pretty embarrassing own goal on Sunday for his current side.
Bellerin joins Real Betis
Hector Bellerin had been struggling for any sort of decent form at Arsenal for the last year or so.
The Spaniard was one of the brightest prospects at the club, but his best days at Arsenal did look to be behind him.
And with Mikel Arteta and Edu clearly aiming to revamp their squad over the summer, it made sense for Bellerin to be moved on.
A permanent move was not found, but Bellerin has instead been shipped off on a season-long loan to Real Betis.
Betis have had a solid start to the 2021/22 campaign and have actually been fighting for a Champions League spot of late.

However, they have now lost their last two league ties. Betis were smashed 3-0 by Atletico Madrid last weekend, though Bellerin was not in the squad for that game.
He would then make his return for Betis on Sunday when they faced off with fellow Europe-chasing side, Sevilla.
Betis would lose the clash 2-0 after going down to 10-men 45 minutes in. Marcos Acuna scored Sevilla’s first goal of the game after 55 minutes.
But it would be Bellerin’s own goal after 81 minutes which has since grabbed the headlines.
It is fairly spectacular as far as own goals are concerned and you can watch the full video below:
