Tottenham in “pole position” to make striker their first signing under Antonio Conte

Clubs chase Dusan Vlahovic

One of the most in demand strikers in world football, Dusan Vlahovic, is set to spark a transfer frenzy, with severe knock-on effects, when he decides to move.

The Serbian international has already announced he will not be signing a new contract with Fiorentina, with his current deal set to expire in 2023.

As such, several clubs are sniffing around the man who has 8 goals in 12 Serie A appearances, with Arsenal among those interested according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

However, the Gunners may be in for a nasty surprise.

Tottenham “in pole position” to sign Vlahovic

As per recent reports, it is Arsenal’s north London rivals Tottenham that are in “pole position” to sign the Serbia star. According to the report, while Juventus are also interested, Tottenham are ready to cough up significantly more cash than the Turin side, which may ultimately prove decisive.

Added to this, Tottenham’s hierarchy has strong Serie A links, with Fabio Paratici and now Antonio Conte having spent much of their time in Italy with Juventus and Inter Milan. As such, they undoubtedly have far more attraction to prospective signings than most that can afford the Serbian.

For Spurs, it would represent a statement signing, although there are questions as to how he would play with Harry Kane, or whether Manchester City may return for the wantaway England captain.

Should the Gunners be gazumped in their Vlahovic pursuit, 101 took a look at 5 strikers they could sign instead.

Will Vlahovic make the trip to the Premier League in January?
