Revealed: What Emile Smith Rowe will do with his first England cap

Emile Smith Rowe makes England debut

Less than 12 months on from working his way into the Arsenal team, Emile Smith Rowe came off the bench to make his debut in England’s 5-0 win over Albania at Wembley last night.

It marks another step in the boy from Croydon’s meteoric rise, which has fast seen him become a key component in Mikel Arteta’s side, and has now seen him recognised by Gareth Southgate at international level too.

The Arsenal man became the 1264th player to earn a cap for England, the first of what he hopes will be many more to come, as he continues to improve at the tender age of jus 21.

With a trip to San Marino, who have scored just one goal in qualifying, combined with the fact that England need just a point from the game, Smith Rowe will undoubtedly be hoping to register more minutes in an England shirt as he looks to stake his claim in a talent-filled squad.
