Arsenal fans will love Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s response to Antonio Conte taking Tottenham job

Antonio Conte joins Tottenham

Antonio Conte would, of course, take up the reins at Tottenham recently, following the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo earlier this month.

Spurs’ first clash under the Italian would see them pick up a 3-2 win over Vitesse in the Europa Conference League.

This would then be followed by the Lilywhites drawing 0-0 with Everton in the Premier League during the final weekend before the current international break.

And though things have not been that impressive so far, there is no doubting Conte is a top manager.

The Italian joined Spurs boasting a very impressive pedigree which includes four Serie A titles with two clubs and, of course, the Premier League which he won with Chelsea.

As a result, if backed correctly by the higher-ups at Spurs, Conte should be able to turn Tottenham into a top-four chasing side once again and potentially end their trophy drought, which dates back to 2008.

Conte’s appointment, though, is not great news for Spurs’ north London rivals, Arsenal.

The Gunners look to be finally turning a corner under Mikel Arteta and are seemingly on course to once again secure European football next season.

However, if Spurs actually become a competent side once again, it will be a lot harder for Arsenal to secure a top-six/seven place.

Despite this, Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang does not seem at all fazed by the Italian joining Spurs.

When quizzed on Conte’s arrival recently, Aubameyang stated:

“I don’t care. “I’ll be honest, I really don’t care. That’s not my problem. Really.”
