Revealed: How long Watford’s Ozan Tufan is expected to be out for after picking up knee injury with Turkey

The international break has dealt Watford something of a blow as they have seen key midfielder Ozan Tufan pick up an injury whilst on duty with Turkey.

Tufan joins Watford

Tufan would join Watford over the summer as the Hornets geared up for a fight to stay in the Premier League.

They are so far struggling to do so, and have been forced to switch managers, bringing in Claudio Ranieri last month.

Ranieri has so far taken charge of four Premier League games, two of which came against Liverpool and Arsenal.

Watford would lose to both of those sides, as well as falling to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Southampton.

How long Tufan will be out for

Ozan Tufan was not on the pitch for that loss, but he did start in Watford’s 5-2 win over Everton, which is currently Ranieri’s only victory as Watford boss.

Now though, the former Leicester manager will have to make do without Tufan for the time being.

The midfield linked up with Turkey for the latest round of World Cup qualifiers but has, unfortunately, suffered a knee injury whilst on international duty.

Now, how long Tufan is expected to be out for has been revealed. And luckily for Watford, it is only expected to be 7-10 days:

This will likely see Tufan miss the clash with Manchester United on November 20th, but he should be fine to face Leicester eight days later.
