Positive Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang update emerges ahead of Liverpool vs Arsenal following injury fears
An update on the fitness of Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has emerged on Wednesday ahead of the Gunners’ clash with Liverpool.
Liverpool vs Arsenal
Saturday’s late Premier League kick-off is set to see Liverpool and Arsenal go head-to-head at Anfield.
The Gunners head into the clash on a fine run of form following an awful start to the campaign.
Arsenal lost their opening three games of the Premier League season, but have since gone unbeaten in eight games – drawing two and winning six.
As a result, Mikel Arteta’s side could actually overtake Liverpool, who lost to West Ham last time out, with a win on Saturday evening.
The Reds are not expected to be a pushover, though, as though they did lose to West Ham, that is, so far, their only loss of the campaign across all competitions.
Aubameyang is fine for Arsenal’s meeting with Liverpool
Ahead of Saturday’s game, a fresh update on the fitness of Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has emerged.
There was concern on Tuesday that the hitman had picked up an injury as he missed Gabon’s clash with Egypt.
However, as reported by Goal’s Charles Watts, Aubameyang is back training at London Colney as normal and his return from international duty was actually pre-planned and not injury-related:
Aubameyang is back training today at London Colney as normal. His early return from international duty was pre-planned with Gabon. No injury or anything like that. He’s fine for Saturday.
