Insight into Antonio Conte’s views on Tottenham duo Ndombele & Dele Alli revealed

Antonio Conte & Tottenham

Antonio Conte has not been in charge of Tottenham for long so far, however, his changes have already been seen both on and off the pitch.

Spurs have already switched to a 3-4-3 and it does look set to be their go-to formation going forward.

Elsewhere, the Italian has banned ketchup and mayonnaise from the Tottenham canteen, much like he did when he first took over at Chelsea.

Conte’s stance on Ndombele & Dele Alli

One of Conte’s biggest tasks, though, is transforming a fairly poor Tottenham squad who have had two very dull, defensive-minded managers, into an attacking force that is capable of scoring goals for fun.

With Conte, or any new boss’s arrival, it is generally expected that at least one or two players are forced out of the club either due to them not fitting the new system or the manager simply not liking them.

At Tottenham, two of the most obvious candidates for this looked to be Dele Alli and Tanguy Ndombele.

Both players have shown clear talent in the past, but both have floundered under two managers and looked far, far away from their best.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano – speaking on his Here We Go Podcast – Conte is aiming to give value to his current Spurs players before deciding what he needs in the transfer market.

Romano adds that Conte wants to give opportunities to both Ndombele and Alli as well as changing the mentalities of both players:

Antonio Conte’s mission to start this new era is to give value to the players that he has in the team; Ndombele Dele Alli and many others, to see if these players are available for his project or if he needs to change. So he wants to give an opportunity to these players and I mentioned Dele Alli because he’s one of the players that Antonio Conte hopes to change his mentality in the coming weeks, same for Ndombele. He wants to trust this team and then in the coming weeks, in December, he will decide together with Paratici what kind of players they need.

So, it seems both Ndombele and Alli are set to get another lifeline at Tottenham, will this be the final one for both players?
