How Harry Kane can start firing under new boss Antonio Conte

Conte must get Kane firing rapidly

Antonio Conte has now officially unveiled as the new headmaster at the Tottenham school after the club parted ways with Nuno Espírito Santo, and one of his chief tasks when taking up his new position in north London must now be regarding how to get star man Harry Kane firing as fast as possible.

There are some that place a considerable amount of blame at the feet of Kane for how the club has begun the current season.

Tottenham has lost four of their last six fixtures in the Premier League, has scored just 9-goals in the opening ten league matches, while Kane has found the back of the net just a single goal and an assist in over 738-minutes of league action thus far.

But Conte could have one very important trick up his sleeve now that he is the man on the touchline in north London, tapping into a solution he found at Inter Milan for star striker Romelu Lukaku.

Lukaku arrived at Inter after a disappointing two-year spell at Manchester United but was soon one of the most effective forwards at club level in Europe when the simple tactical tasking by Conte saw him in a strike partnership with Argentina star Lautaro Martínez.

With Kane already established in a fantastic relationship with fellow Tottenham forward Son Heung-Min, who is also experienced through the middle, the pair could be re-tasked under Conte in a strike partnership in the Italian’s famous three at-the-back deployments that will seek to utilize marauding wing-backs and a dynamic midfield pair.

Expected reinforcements at Tottenham

Tottenham should certainly expect to spend as soon as Conte and Fabio Paratici settle who the key transfer targets must be as early as January.

There are already links to whom the club may look to bring in under the Italian firebrand as rumors circulate that he will be given at least £150million to splash to reinforce the first team under his command.

One thing is certain; the expected system that Conte will utilize at Spurs requires specific players that can shine. In that light, spending to improve the team not just in quality and seasoned talent, but players that fit his demands on and off the pitch will be a chief remit for Paratici immediately.
