12 Years Later, Mark Wahlberg’s Forgotten Crime Drama Officially Gets a Second Chance on Paramount+

In stark contrast to his fellow action starsJason Stathamand Gerard Butler, who don't have an Oscar nomination as he does, Mark Wahlberg has seamlessly transitioned to streaming. Neither Statham nor Butler has ever headlined a streaming original, despite their massive popularity at home, but Wahlberg has predominantly starred in streaming movies in the last decade. His resume includes three Netflix originals, two each on Prime Video and Apple TV, and one on Paramount+. Several of Wahlberg's earlier theatrical films have also found a larger audience at home. Recently, Wahlberg's last theatrical movie with director Peter Berg, Mile 22, found success on Netflix, while Contraband and Shooter remain popular with streaming audiences.
