"He Likes To Be Manipulated by Her": Pierce Brosnan on His 'MobLand' Character's Complicated Relationship With Helen Mirren's Maeve

Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for Episode 3 of MobLand.When it comes to the criminal underworld of London, the family on top in MobLand is the Harrigans, and sitting at the throne is Pierce Brosnan's Conrad. Created by Ronan Bennett and directed/produced by Guy Ritchie, the gritty crime drama is part gangster story and part succession crisis. When Conrad's grandson Eddie (Anson Boon) becomes entangled with the murder of Tommy Stevenson (Felix Edwards), the son of the leader of the rival crime family, the Harrigan family bonds are tested as the truth is slowly uncovered. When Tommy's father, Richie (Geoff Bell), becomes vengeful and begins to directly attack the Harrigans, Conrad is forced to rally the troops and bring his family all under the roof of his fancy mansion out in the Cotswolds. Eddie, his eventual heir and problem grandchild, ends up getting babied by his wife, Maeve (Helen Mirren), who also enjoys a large amount of influence over her husband and the crime family.
