When will Tottenham’s new boss Antonio Conte manage his first Spurs game amid work permit issues
Tottenham announce Antonio Conte
Just over 24 hours after they announced that they had sacked Nuno Espirito Santo after four months in charge, Tottenham welcomed Antonio Conte to the helm in north London.
✍️ We are delighted to announce the appointment of Antonio Conte as our Head Coach on a contract until the summer of 2023, with an option to extend.

The former Inter Milan and Chelsea manager has signed an 18-month deal, with the option to extend should the relationship prove harmonious. Now back in the Premier League, he will be looking to keep up his record of winning silverware at every club he has been at, something a bridge too far even for Jose Mourinho at Tottenham.

However, there were issues to be ironed out before Conte could take his first training session, with a working visa not having come in for the Italian.

This meant that he missed both Tuesday and Wednesday’s training sessions, and was a doubt to be in charge for the clash with Vitesse, which realistically is a must-win affair for Tottenham.
However, good news has emerged for Spurs fans as Dan Kilpatrick of the London Evening standard reports that a visa has now come through, meaning that he will be in the technical area to welcome Vitesse to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
