Video: Leeds star Raphinha left bloodied after Otamendi elbow during Argentina vs Brazil
Leeds United winger Raphinha was busted open during Argentina’s recent meeting with Brazil.

Argentina would play host to Brazil late on Tuesday evening in a World Cup qualifying clash.
Lionel Scaloni’s side head into the game sat six points behind table-topping Brazil. As a result, a win was very much needed at the Estadio San Juan del Bicentenario.
However, when all was said and done on the evening, both sides were forced to settle for a share of the points.
Despite a fairly end-to-end affair with both sides having decent chances, neither could find an opening and the score would remain at 0-0.
Raphinha busted open
Despite no goals being scored, it was an entertaining game with the usual intensity seen between the two great rivals.
This would include a pretty nasty-looking elbow from Argentina’s Nicolas Otamendi on Brazil’s Raphinha towards the end of the first 45.
As shown in the videos below, Raphinha would be busted open by the elbow – which Otamendi was not sent off for – and needed to clean blood off himself:

Leeds fans probably should not worry too much about the incident impacting Raphinha’s ability to play, however.
The winger was able to carry on against Argentina and then posted an Instagram picture later on with the rest of the Premier League Brazilian stars, in which his face looked fine:
