Revealed: Who Cristiano Ronaldo wants to become new Manchester United boss

An insight into who Cristiano Ronaldo wants to become the new Manchester United manager has been revealed on Sunday.

Manchester United sack Solskjaer

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spent nearly three years as Manchester United manager in one capacity or the other.

The Norwegian took over from Jose Mourinho as interim boss, but would be handed a permanent role following an impressive few months.

However, after taking the job on a permanent basis, Solskjaer was unable to deliver to a high standard on a regular basis, despite being heavily backed in the transfer market.

This season was the biggest example of this. Manchester United signed Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo over the summer – a dream transfer window for pretty much any club.

Yet, after losing 4-1 to Watford on Saturday, the Red Devils were 7th in the Premier League (12 points off top spot) out of the League Cup and look set for an early Champions League knockout round exit once they face one of the big sides.

So, it was not at all surprising when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was relieved of his duties on Sunday:

Shortly after the announcement that Ole was gone, it was suggested that United were looking to test the waters with Ajax boss, Erik ten Hag:


Now though, it has been revealed who Cristiano Ronaldo would like to be United’s new boss.

Somewhat surprisingly, it is not believed to be Zinedine Zidane, who CR7 worked well with at Real Madrid.

Instead, as per Sky’s Rob Dorsett, Ronaldo is keen on Spain boss Luis Enrique:
