Marcus Bettinelli names the two Chelsea stars he is ‘most in awe of’

Marcus Bettinelli has recently named the two Chelsea players he is most in awe of following his switch to Stamford Bridge.

Bettinelli joins Chelsea

Bettinelli would join Chelsea over the summer on a free transfer from Fulham.

The goalkeeper had previously spent 2020/21 on loan at Championship outfit Middlesbrough, who he struggled to impress with.

Despite this Chelsea, largely due to homegrown quotas needing to be met, snapped the shot-stopper up and made him their third-choice keeper behind Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Which Chelsea players Bettinelli is in awe of

Though he is unlikely to get any sort of game time for Chelsea – Bettinelli is yet to make an appearance for the Blues – the Englishman is still, of course, spending plenty of time with Chelsea’s first-team.

And now, after several months at his new club, Bettinelli has spoken out on who he is most in awe of.

That honour goes to both N’Golo Kante and Jorginho, whilst Bettinelli also gave a special mention to Thiago Silva:

“I don’t think I’ve seen Jorginho or Kante give the ball away in training yet. If you were to ask who I’ve been most in awe of, it would be those two. They just never seem to be flustered; them and Thiago Silva.”
