Explained: The reason behind Chelsea star Christian Pulisic’s goal celebration for USA
USA see off Mexico
The USA would face off with Mexico in the early hours on Saturday.
The tie was a World Cup qualifier and was a crucial one for both sides.
Mexico headed into the game top of their group, but the USA could overtake them should they have won by at least two goals.
And, when all was said and done, this is exactly what happened. Christian Pulisic came off the bench to open the scoring 74 minutes in:

The USA now have one more World Cup qualifying match, which is against Jamaica on Tuesday. They must win that tie to ensure they secure top spot, but will have to do so without the services of Miles Robinson, who was sent off vs Mexico:

Explanation for Pulisic’s goal celebration vs Mexico
After coming off the bench to score the opener, Christian Pulisic would reveal a t-shirt underneath his jersey which had the words ‘man in the mirror’ written on in marker pen.
Now, an explanation for Pulisic’s celebration has been provided, with the winger seemingly taking a dig at Mexico star, Memo Ochoa, who had previously stated that ‘Mexico is the mirror in which the United States wants to see itself’:
