The headline news in the footballing world over the last 48 hours has, of course, been that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has left Manchester United.
Manchester United can confirm that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has left his role as Manager.

Solskjaer’s final game in charge of the Red Devils came on Saturday, when they were put to the sword by a relegation-battling Watford side.
This would prove to be the final nail in the Norwegian’s United coffin after embarrassing defeats to the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Young Boys already this season.
On the back of Solskjaer being sacked, several Manchester United stars, including Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford, took to Twitter on Sunday to respond to the news.

Cristiano Ronaldo sends message to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Now, on Monday, Cristiano Ronaldo has become the latest player to send a message to Ole.
The Portuguese actually worked with Solskjaer the player when he first joined Manchester United and, of course, re-joined the club when the Norwegian was manager.
And, taking to Twitter on Monday to react to Solskjaer’s departure, CR7 wrote:
He’s been my striker when I first came to Old Trafford and he’s been my coach since I came back to Man. United. But most of all, Ole is an outstanding human being. I wish him the best in whatever his life has reserved for him. Good luck, my friend! You deserve it!
