Chelsea outcast latest transfer in Barcelona's crosshairs as Tuchel allegedly transfer lists him
Chelsea and Barcelona’s contrasting seasons
For two of the giants of heavyweight football, things could not have gone more differently if they had tried.
Chelsea, under Thomas Tuchel, and fresh off the back of a Champions League win, sit atop the Premier League having conceded just four times all season, and having only dropped points on three occasions: To Liverpool, Manchester City and Burnley.

Barcelona, meanwhile, are looking to stop their freefall. Ronald Koeman was sacked before the international break, leaving the Blaugrana in 9th place, having won just 4 of their twelve league games this season.
Now with former legendary player Xavi in charge, they will look to pick up the pieces of a season that threatened to fall apart from the beginning, with the only surprise being how long Koeman was able to stay the executioner’s hand.

Xavi targets Christian Pulisic, with Tuchel having given the green light to sell
Now, as per a report in Spanish outlet El Nacional, the new Barca boss will come knocking on Tuchel’s door come the January transfer window, looking to do a deal for American talent Christian Pulisic.
Pulisic has failed to make any role in Tuchel’s side his own, through a mixture of poor form and recurring injury, however, the report claims that Xavi views him as the perfect player for his new look Barcelona side.
There were previously rumours that the club were interested in Raheem Sterling, who is thought to be open to the move, but Manchester City were not looking to entertain a loan offer for a star man in his prime, and Barcelona cannot afford to pay a fee for him.
With Pulisic, there may be a little more leeway given that he is still only 23 years old, well short of his prime years. Would he be the man to help Barcelona turn their dismal season around?
