Video: Goal from Xavi’s current side shows why Spaniard is right man to take over Barcelona

Barcelona struggling

It is fair to say that FC Barcelona’s post-Lionel Messi era has not got off to the best of starts.

In La Liga, Barcelona currently sit down in 9th place having already drawn three and lost one of their seven league ties this season.

And, with both Madrid clubs looking much more solid, it looks very likely that Barca will once again miss out on La Liga this time around.

Elsewhere, La Blaugrana have had a nightmare start to their Champions League campaign.

Barca’s first Champions League group stage clash of the season saw them bested by German powerhouse Bayern Munich by three goals to nil.

Though not exactly what fans want, said result was not that shocking given the current struggles Barcelona are facing.

However, the fact that Ronald Koeman’s side would lose 3-0 to Benfica in their following Champions League game was pretty surprising.

These results have left the Spanish outfit dead bottom of Group E and facing the real possibility that they do not make it out of their CL group this year.

Goal shows why Xavi should take over at Barcelona

Following their poor start, the future of Ronal Koeman at the Camp Nou has of course been called into question.

There has been suggestions that Ajax’s Erik ten Hag could take over, whilst club legend Xavi Hernandez has also been linked:

And now, a clip of Xavi’s current side, Al Sadd, scoring a superb goal has come to light on social media.

The clip shows Xavi’s side pass the ball from their own goalkeeper all the way up to the other end of the pitch with some lovely one and two-touch play before scoring.

Said goal incapsulates the essence of Barca’s infamous tiki-taka style of play, which has been lost somewhat under Koeman.

However, if the below goal is anything to go by, then Xavi is certainly the man who can restore the Barcelona way at the Camp Nou.
