Monaco’s minimum asking price for Tchouameni revealed/Midfielder on Chelsea bosses’ shortlist

An insight into AS Monaco’s asking price for Aurelien Tchouameni has been provided recently.

Who is Aurelien Tchouameni?

21-year-old Aurelien Tchouameni, as already mentioned, currently plies his trade in Ligue 1 with AS Monaco.

Despite still only being 21, he now has over 70 Ligue 1 appearances under his belt, and has quickly become one of the division’s rising stars.

And he is a very defensively sound player whose main focus is disrupting attacks and winning the ball back.

This was demonstrated well in 2020/21, when Tchouameni ranked joint-first for the most tackles and interceptions made in Ligue 1.

Tchouameni’s recent form would also see him called up to the France national team for the first time in his career.

The midfielder would feature three times for Les Bleus during the September international break.

Tchouameni’s minimum transfer fee

And now, as mentioned above, an insight into the fee Monaco would demand for their rising star has been provided recently.

According to journalist Ekrem Konur, Monaco will reject offers below €40m for Tchouameni.

The midfielder is currently tied down to the Ligue 1 outfit until 2024. This, combined with his age, potential and current ability make it easy to see why Monaco are not keen to let one of their prized assets go on the cheap.

Konur also adds that Tchouameni is on the shortlist of Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, but there is not said to have been contact between the clubs yet.
