England star man Phil Foden compared to American football GOAT in Andorra thrashing

England thrash Andorra

Somewhat predictably, England ran out 5-0 winners over minnows Andorra in their latest World Cup qualifying match, which saw the Three Lions strengthen their grip on qualification for the competition, due to take place in 12 months in Qatar.

Goals from five different goalscorers, including a first England goal for Jack Grealish and Ben Chilwell in the dying stages of the encounter.

However, it was one man who stole the headlines, in the form of Grealish’s new club-mate Phil Foden, who started in the centre of Gareth Southgate’s midfield against the minnows.

Roy Keane full of praise for Foden’s performance

One man left purring by Phil Foden’s display was former Manchester United midfielder turned ITV pundit Roy Keane, who likened him to a quarterback in American football, saying live on air that:

“I love my American Football and Foden has been like a top quarterback”

“He’s been like Tom Brady. He’s just picking people out. He’s got runners and he’s got wide-receivers. He’s making it look so easy.
