Chelsea’s oligarch owner Roman Abramovich looks set to take the reigns next summer when the club tackle the transfer market, with the Russian lining up a potential avenue of attack to bring Eden Hazard back to Stamford Bridge.

According to Spanish outlet El Nacional and cited by Sport Bible, the struggling Real Madrid winger is said to be at the top of Abramovich’s wish list next summer and he could take personal charge of the attempt to manufacture a deal.

Hazard has not entered even close to the same stratosphere at the Santiago Bernabeu since his move to the Spanish capital from west London a little over two years ago in a £100million move that has hardly been repaid on the pitch.

The former LOSC Lille prodigy could put any opposition defense to the sword at will, and an superlative goal contributions of 31 (16-goals, 15-assists) in thirty-seven Premier League appearances was sublime and helped Chelsea bag both the Europa League and Carabao Cup.

Werner continues to be more effective for Germany than the Blues, while Ziyech, Pulisic, and Hudson-Odoi have done little to suggest they are seen as long-term pieces that are untouchable.

With Hazard very accustomed to a three-at-the-back set up under Roberto Martinez for Belgium and his connection with long-standing Lukaku a source of potential exploitation, a return to Chelsea is not as far fetched as many may think.
