The games Aaron Wan-Bissaka will miss as length of Man United star’s suspension revealed

Man United vs Villarreal

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United will play host to Unai Emery’s Villarreal in an 8 pm UK time kick-off later today.

Man United head into the game in pretty poor form, having just won one of their last four in all competitions.

And, after losing their opening Champions League clash of the season to Young Boys, all three points are very much needed on Wednesday.

Villarreal are not expected to be a pushover, though, with Emery’s side, of course, having already beaten Manchester United in the 2021 Europa League final earlier this year.

Wan-Bissaka out of two games

Ahead of the game, it has now been confirmed that Man United will definitely be without two of their senior defenders on Wednesday.

Firstly, after picking up an injury vs Aston Villa over the weekend, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Harry Maguire will be out for a few weeks, which of course rules him out of Wednesday’s game:

And now, it has been confirmed how long Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set to be suspended for, after he was shown a straight red card vs Young Boys in United’s first CL game of the season earlier this month.

The defender has been handed a two-match ban by UEFA as his challenge was deemed to be rough play.

As a result, AWB will be out vs Villarreal on Tuesday and then vs Atalanta next month:
