It's Officially the End of an Era for Paramount Pictures

For 100 years now, Paramount Pictures has called 5555 Melrose Avenue home. Of the major studios considered the backbone of the Hollywood system, it's the only one still based in the Hollywood district of Los Angeles and remains one of the big names everyone associates with the silver screen in the U.S. The industry is facing uncertain times, though, thanks in part to the new ownership of the company under CEO David Ellison and the pending merger with Warner Bros. Discovery. The process has been in limbo since July, thanks to antitrust lawsuits from a coalition of states led by California to halt the process over concerns about the concentration the company will have in the cable and theatrical market. In that time, Ellison hasn't shied away from making threats to uproot the business to a state more favorable to his hopes of a combined entertainment juggernaut.
