This 110-Minute WWII Sci-Fi Thriller Is Finally Getting a Second Chance on Streaming

Hollywood has a history of taking original scripts and retrofitting them into pre-existing franchises. However, Paramount resisted the temptation to do so on one memorable occasion. Following the success of Cloverfield and its loosely connected follow-up, 10 Cloverfield Lane, it was reported that producer J.J. Abrams was looking to make more movies in the unlikely franchise. Two years after 10 Cloverfield Lane quietly grossed $110 million worldwide, fans of the series became convinced that a mysterious World War II movie produced by Abrams’ Bad Robot banner and distributed by Paramount was another installment in the sci-fi series. The movie was marketed in the same enigmatic manner as the two Cloverfield films, and was produced at around the same time as The Cloverfield Paradox, which, for the longest time, was rumored to be titled God Particle.
