Rock music was created in the 1950s. Chuck Berry and Little Richard led to the legend that is Elvis Presley. The King gave way to the Beatles and British rock in the 1960s. Heavier acts such as Led Zeppelin led the way in the 1970s. The 80s were dominated by the likes of Metallica and Van Halen. In the 1990s, Nirvana and grunge took over from a predictable genre.
