Harry Bosch hasn't technically gone anywhere, but fans still want to see the original character in a long-form piece of entertainment, not just a cameo. Titus Welliver has continued to appear across the expanding franchise, including the Maggie Q-led Ballard, while MGM+ is proceeding with a prequel series that focuses on Bosch's early days as a beat cop in Los Angeles, during the 1990s. Even so, neither project quite replaces watching Welliver lead his own case, something the actor agrees with.
