7 Years Later, ‘Game of Thrones’ Officially Revives an Overlooked Character for 2026 Return

What a wild year it’s been for Game of Thrones fans, who have been treated to not one, but two live-action projects from the franchise for the first time in history. The first Game of Thrones project to win over fans around the world was A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which is based on George R.R. Martin’s Hedge Knight short stories. The show was renewed for Season 2 months before the Season 1 premiere, and it’s expected to return sometime next year. The third season of House of the Dragon also arrived earlier this summer, and it’s now finally winding down towards a conclusion with only a few episodes remaining. Starring Matt Smith and Emma D’Arcy, HBO has confirmed that there will only be one more season of House of the Dragon, ending the show after four seasons.
