10 Best Epic Movies of the 1950s

Movies did not start being epic in the 1950s, by any means. The epic genre had existed before then, with the 1920s having Napoleon, for starters, and then it’s also difficult to talk about the epic genre without acknowledging Gone with the Wind in the late 1930s. But it was during the 1950s that things progressed technologically to the point where wide-screen started being a thing, and most (but not all) movies started being shot in color, too.
