Netflix Is Officially Dropping ‘Gilmore Girls’ After 12 Years

After 12 years of being a constant source of delight to many, it's sadly time to say goodbye to the best comfort dramedy of all time. Created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, who also served as showrunner for the first 6 seasons, the series originally ran for six seasons on The WB from October 5, 2000, to May 9, 2006, before concluding with Season 7 on The CW from September 26, 2006, to May 15, 2007. Seven years later, the witty drama arrived on Netflix in the U.S. in its entiretyand later became available in international territories in 2016.
