Anya Taylor-Joy’s Dark Sci-Fi Epic Is Finally Getting the Attention It Deserves on Netflix

It’s shaping up to be a big year for Anya Taylor-Joy, who returns to the big screen this weekend with her first big release of 2026, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Taylor-Joy reprises her role as Princess Peach in the film opposite Chris Pratt as Mario, and last week it was even confirmed that Glen Powell will provide the voice for Star Fox. This summer, Taylor-Joy will return to Apple TV after working on The Gorge for a new series, Lucky, which has already been set for release on July 15. She’ll close out the year by starring as Alia Atreides in Dune: Part Three, the film in Denis Villeneuve’s sci-trilogy. The film will be released later this year on December 18, the same day as Avengers: Doomsday.
