This ‘Avatar’ Villain's Bone-Chilling Home Invasion Thriller Is Leaving Netflix

More than his Evil Dead remake, the movie that established director Fede Álvarez's horror chops was Don't Breathe. The home invasion thriller showed that Álvarez could play the audience like a fiddle, with a complete command over tone and with excellent restraint. Don't Breathe also gave Avatar actor Stephen Lang a character for the ages — a Gulf War veteran who must defend himself when three robbers break into it to steal his savings. The film can also, unfortunately, be read as a particularly violent defense of the controversial Stand Your Ground laws, but it's primarily a bone-chilling thriller that doesn't let up for the entirety of its tight 88-minute running time. However, if you haven't checked it out yet, you're running out of time to do so, because it'll leave Netflix at the end of the month.
