During a recent Fireside Chat on Beacon, Sam Riegel shared how Frakes has been genuinely surprised by the response to his role in Critical Role’s latest animated series The Mighty Nein, which premiered in November. Riegel recalled appearing at a convention alongside Frakes, who voices Zeenoth in the series, when the longtimeStar Trek actor realized just how far the show’s reach extends. “I was just at a convention two weekends ago with Jonathan Frakes, Zeenoth in our show. Also, Riker, is that his name on Star Trek?” Riegel shared. He went on to describe Frakes approaching him mid-event, stunned by how many attendees were recognizing him specifically for The Mighty Nein.
