From 'Psycho' to 'The Shining,' the 10 Greatest Horror Movies That Will Never Get Old

Some classics get old, some don't. When it comes to the horror genre, countless films rely so hard on plot twists that they age rather poorly. Some others, though, care so much about keeping the viewer engaged throughout the entirety of its runtime that they seem to only improve as they grow older. Occasionally, a film like that may be hard to pin down to one genre — Mulholland Drive and Mother! skirt the edges of horror without making it feel correct to really call them proper horror movies. Some works are still held in high esteem today, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're worth watching more than once. The Babadook takes rather derivative tropes and applies them to a new thematic core. Rosemary's Baby is so slowly paced (and rather obvious about where it's going) that it's hard to imagine watching it again and again.
