Thomas Tuchel requests January business to support Chelsea star Romelu Lukaku
Tuchel desires depth behind Lukaku
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is looking to seek valuable reinforcement for the Blues squad to support key striker Romelu Lukaku at Stamford Bridge.
The Belgian international star hit the ground running in the early doors of his return to Chelsea after a summer move from Inter Milan, hitting three goals in his first three appearances back in the Premier League but has failed to find the back of the net in the English top-flight since then while also missing out of the last-four fixtures through injury.
Tuchel said Lukaku was "targeting" a return after the break… so barring a setback, GW12 at Leicester looks realistic.#CFC #BEL

Via to the Express citing an interview with expert Ian McGarry The Transfer Window Podcast, Tuchel is seeking backing from club leadership for the acquisition of another striker to alleviate the pressure on Lukaku;
“It is our information that he [Tuchel] has requested from the club that they recruit a striker in the January window.
From what I’m told, there is no definite shortlist that’s been formulated as yet, but you can see the point that they’ve been heavily reliant on Lukaku in such a short space of time since he arrived back at the club for his second spell.
This has been significantly influenced now as well by the fact Romelu Lukaku will miss at least two games but maybe up to a month in the coming weeks, as well as Timo Werner being out as well.”
On loan starlet could provide an internal transfer solution
Though Thomas Tuchel desires Chelsea to invest in another forward in January, a free solution could be found through the club’s own ranks via Albanian starlet Armano Broja.
Broja, who is in the midst of a season-long loan at Southampton, has hit 4-goals in 8-appearances across all competitions for Ralph Hasenhüttl’s Saints outfit, has scored in his last two Premier League outings, both of which were starting appearances.
But Chelsea could recall Broja in January given a clause in his loan contract, which would cost the club nothing.
While this may slightly hamper the Albanian’s development given the reduction in time that would occur if a Blues return was on the cards, from Chelsea’s standpoint it offers a quick and easy solution to what currently ails them.
