There were also rumours that the striker had refused to turn up to training. Claims denied by Kane himself.
Kane himself then came out to state in the final week of the transfer window that he would be remaining at Tottenham for the summer:
It was incredible to see the reception from the Spurs fans on Sunday and to read some of the messages of support I’ve had in the last few weeks. 👏⚽
I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100% focused on helping the team achieve success. #COYS pic.twitter.com/uTN78tHlk1

The message from Kane, though, did only specify that he would be staying at Spurs for the summer, rather than for the actual full season.
Of course, a lot has changed at Tottenham since, with serial winner Antonio Conte having recently taken over from Nuno Espirito Santo.
But as we edge close to the January window, speculation over Kane’s future is no doubt set to start again.
Now, an insight into Manchester City’s stance on moving for Harry Kane has been provided recently.
As per ESPN, Man City are prepared to launch a new bid for Kane in the January transfer window.
However, the report does also add that prior to Conte taking charge, the Italian was given assurances he could expect to include Kane in his plans moving forward.
