Man United finally come to definitive decision on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future

Word stemming from the English media late on Saturday night suggests that Manchester United have, finally, come to a decision on the future of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Red Devils of course marked their return to action on the back of the international break earlier today.

After slipping a full twelve points off the Premier League summit owing to Chelsea’s downing of Leicester City, Solskjaer guided his troops to Vicarage Road, in the knowledge that nothing but a victory would do.

Upon the final whistle sounding on Saturday, however, United came up short, in frankly embarrassing fashion.

A rampant Watford outfit ultimately went on to put four past their heavyweight opponents, en route to an eventual 4-1 final scoreline.

Ole on his way

Speculation surrounding Solskjaer’s position, in turn, had since been rampant over the hours since.

The board at Old Trafford are understood to have called an emergency meeting earlier this evening, to discuss the possibility of pulling the trigger on an immediate change on the club’s bench.

Initial reports, however, suggested that such talks had not given rise to a definitive agreement.

But, if the latest update quickly spreading across the media late on Saturday night is anything to go by, then, in fact, a final call has indeed been made when it comes to Solskjaer’s future.

And the news will no doubt be met with widespread jubilation across the Manchester United fanbase.

As per the likes of The Times and Fabrizio Romano, those in a position of power on the red half of Manchester have decided that a change in the dugout is required at the club, with Solskjaer, in turn, set to be imminently dismissed:
