Brendan Rodgers confirms his future amid Manchester United speculation
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer coming under increasing pressure
While Manchester United are not yet in full-blown crisis, they are not too far away.
Having lost and, worse, been humilated, at home to Manchester City and Liverpool, they find themselves sixth in the table and already nine points behind early pace-setters Chelsea.

Central to the crisis is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with #OleOut continuing to trend regularly on social media, and the Norwegian seemingly not having the first idea of how to fix his broken side, aside from relying on moments of magic from Cristiano Ronaldo and co.
While a decision has reportedly been made on his future, executing that will prove far harder.
Brendan Rodgers speaks out on links
One of the men most heavily linked with the Manchester United hotseat was Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers, who has led his side to back to back fifth-place finishes in the last two Premier League seasons, only just missing out on the Champions League on both occasions.
However, Manchester United fans hoping for Rodgers’ arrival will be left disappointed, with Rodgers distancing himself from the role in his pre-match press conference.
Asked about the links to the position, he said:
“I can’t really comment on it, because it’s something that’s not real.”
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers says he’s “fully committed” to the Foxes following speculation over the international break linking him with Manchester United.

This means that both Rodgers and Luis Enrique have ruled themselves out of the Manchester United running, while Erik Ten Hag, doing a sterling job with Ajax, seems unlikely to leave his club mid-season.
🗣”I’m here as the Leicester City manager, proud and privileged to be here.”
