Arsenal transfer target fuels speculation with aims for future Premier League move
Isak in goalscoring form for Real Sociedad
Following a disappointing stint at Borussia Dortmund, Alexander Isak has returned to the headlines as one of the hottest prospects in world football.
Still just 22 years old, he has already racked up over 100 senior appearances, and impressed for Sweden at Euro 2020.

As a result, he was linked with a host of clubs over the summer, before signing a new deal at Real Sociedad. One of those clubs, Arsenal, are expected to be in the market for a striker in the coming summers with Alexandre Lacazette out of contract this summer and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the wrong side of his peak.
Should a move for Isak materialise, it would surely set any club back a hefty sum, given that he is currently tied to the Spanish outfit until 2026, in a new deal that also removed his 59 million pounds buy out clause, and replaced it with an unknown yet presumably heftier one.
Isak reveals Premier League dream
Now, speaking to the Independent, the Swedish forward revealed that he would like to play in England in the future, surely placing several clubs, including Arsenal, on red alert. Isak claimed:
“I’m in a good place at the moment, I’m very happy, but one day it would be nice to play in England as well,”
“They have six or seven of the biggest clubs in the world, it’s a very high level, and of course one day it would be an alternative. Every player wants to be the best version of themselves and reach the highest possible level. I have expectations for myself that I’m trying to fulfil, so we’ll see where the journey takes me in future.”
With multiple Premier League clubs set to be searching for a new frontman in the next 2-3 years, could we see Isak’s dream fulfilled?
