Arsenal boost as key star ‘will be fit to play’ against Liverpool
Arsenal have been handed a big personnel boost ahead of their meeting with Liverpool.
Liverpool vs Arsenal
Arsenal are set for perhaps their toughest test of the season this evening.
The Gunners have been on a fine run of form since the September international break, and have now won six and drawn two of their last eight.
However, next up comes a meeting with Liverpool at Anfield. Jurgen Klopp’s side are one of the favourites to win the Premier League this season, and have lost just one game in all competitions in 2021/22.
Despite their solid start to the season, though, four draws from 11 means that Liverpool have slipped down to 4th in the Premier League table, and actually only sit above an in-form Arsenal by two points.
As a result, Mikel Arteta and co. are no doubt desperate to pick up a huge three points at Anfield and overtake the Reds with what would be a statement victory.
Thomas Partey fit to face Liverpool
Ahead of the game, a fresh update on the fitness of Thomas Partey has emerged.
Both Partey and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s involvement vs Liverpool was in doubt ahead of the tie and Arteta gave little away when speaking out the pair in his press conference on Friday.
However, Aubameyang has since posted a training photo on his Twitter on Friday evening which seems to suggest he is fit and ready to go, though nothing is confirmed:

As for Partey, football.london have reported that the Ghanian will be fit to play against Liverpool later today.
