What Pep Guardiola & James Milner discussed in tunnel following Liverpool 2-Man City 2
James Milner escapes a red card
Manchester City and Liverpool played out a 2-2 draw at Anfield on Sunday evening.
The tie was a very entertaining affair which saw some high-quality goals from the likes of Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne.
In the end, though, it was not the goals or perhaps even the result which would be the main talking point post-match.
That would instead come late in the game when James Milner, already on a yellow card, upended Bernardo Silva for what looked set to be an obvious yellow card offence, which would have of course seen the Englishman sent off.
James Milner blatantly upends Bernardo Silva and Manchester City rightly pointing out he is on a yellow card. How has he got away with that?

What Milner & Guardiola discussed in tunnel
Pep Guardiola was understandably livid at Milner not being shown a second yellow card and let his thoughts on the referee be known post-game.
“The referee has had an absolute shocker. I don’t understand how that is allowed to happen.”

Guardiola would also be pictured talking to Milner after the match:

And now, the Spaniard has revealed what the pair discussed during their conversation in the tunnel:
“[We were talking about] our swing, he’s a better golf player than me and he gave me some tips about the golf.
“He’s a nice lad, we couldn’t be together in Manchester but I know from the backroom staff what a nice lad he is. We talked about the game a little bit and the yellow card. He was joking.”
