Newcastle United target out of favour Barcelona star in 90 million pound swoop this summer
All change please!
It has been a dizzying couple of weeks for Newcastle fans. Finally freed from the shackles of Mike Ashley’s reign, that will certainly haunt the memories of Newcastle fans, they have new owners in the form of the Saudi Public Investment Fund.
🤝 An investment group led by the Public Investment Fund, and also comprising PCP Capital Partners and RB Sports & Media, has completed the acquisition of 100% of Newcastle United Limited and Newcastle United Football Club Limited from St. James Holdings Limited.

Now boasting the richest owners in world football, but sitting in the Premier League relegation zone without a win, the Magpies are sure to spend money in January in order to avoid a somewhat humiliating relegation to England’s second tier.
Meanwhile, they have already parted ways with former boss Steve Bruce, who they announced had departed “by mutual consent” in a statement yesterday.
#NUFC can confirm that Steve Bruce has left his position as head coach by mutual consent.
The club would like to place on record its gratitude to Steve for his contribution and wishes him well for the future.

Barcelona star an unlikely target
Now, as per Goal.com, an unlikely target has emerged for the Magpies ahead of the summer transfer window. The man in question? Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele.
The Frenchman is out of contract this summer, and negotiations over a renewal seem to have reached an impasse for now, leading the 24 year old winger to consider his options. Should one of those be Newcastle, it is though that the winger “would be open to a move”.
The Tyneside club are reportedly willing to offer a hefty 90 million euros, 15 million euros per year for five years as well as a 15 million euro signing on fee, for his services.
Despite the cost, the sight of Dembele and Alan Saint-Maximin on either wing would be sure to drive fear into the hearts of many Premier League defenders, should he be able to stay fit.
Newcastle fans, would you want the move?
