Kevin De Bruyne reveals who has his vote
Speaking ahead of Manchester City’s trip to Belgium to take on Club Brugges, Kevin De Bruyne revealed who his vote will be going towards, and despite national teammates and Manchester City teammates being among the candidates, it is a different man who is set to be nominated by the Belgian.
When questioned on the award, De Bruyne announced that his vote will be going to Bayern star Robert Lewandowski, who broke the Bundesliga goalscoring record last campaign and who was unlucky to see the 2020 Ballon D’or cancelled, for which he was favourite.
“If I have to choose, I’m looking at the two-year period, so I’d choose Lewandowski for what he has done the last two years goalscoring wise. He’d be my pick [for the Ballon d’Or].”

With Lewandowski continuing to impress, having scored 9 and assisted another in just 8 Bundesliga outings so far this season, it seems that KDB could be backing a winning horse in the Ballon D’or race.
