Man United teammates concerned that Jadon Sancho is struggling to adapt to Premier League as player’s attitude in training questioned
Sancho joins Manchester United
Jadon Sancho would join Manchester United back in July. The winger is reported to have set The Red Devils back £73m.
At the time, Sancho’s signing seemed like a major coup. Man United were crying out for a natural right-winger and due to Sancho’s impressive stint in Germany with Dortmund, it seemed as though he was the man they needed to fix this issue.
Sancho would score 16 and assist 20 in just 38 outings for Borussia Dortmund during the 2020/21 season before netting 20 and assisting 20 in 44 games the campaign prior.
Sancho struggling to adapt to Premier League?
So, given his price-tag and previous impressive form, expectations were no doubt high once the 21-year-old signed for Man United.
So far, however, it is fair to say that Sancho has not enjoyed the best of starts to life back in England.
The winger has featured on 10 occasions for Man United in all competitions, notching 500 minutes whilst doing so.
However, Sancho is yet to register a single goal or assist for his new club. At right-wing, meanwhile, it is natural centre-forward Mason Greenwood who has continued to impress most for United.
And now that Marcus Rashford is back fit, it is hard to see Sancho fitting in on the left-flank either.
Following his slow start to the seaosn at Man United, the Mirror, citing Duncan Castles on The Transfer Window Podcast, are reporting that ‘there are growing concerns within the club’s squad that Sancho is struggling to adapt to the demands of the Premier League.’
The report adds that, ‘internally, Sancho’s efforts and attitude in training are being questioned.’
