Liverpool transfer target speaks out on interest as goalscoring continues

Jurgen Klopp has a brilliant front three, which he would probably not trade for any in world football. Beyond the initial three, however, it get a little less envious, with Roberto Firmino, Takumi Minamino, Divock Origi and Curtis Jones the potential replacements.
Therefore, Liverpool will surely be on the hunt for January reinforcements, especially given that both Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah are expected to miss up to 8 matches in order to take part in the Africa Cup of Nations.
One of those names that simply won’t go away is RB Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi. The German fits in with Liverpool’s transfer policy of signing young players before they reach their peak, and cannot stop scoring for the Austrian side at present.
Should he move, he would become the third consecutive RB Salzburg striker to make his way to the Premier League, following Hwang Hee Chan’s arrival at Wolves and Leicester City’s purchase of Patson Daka this summer.
Of course, there is still scope that Erling Haaland, Salzburg’s biggest export, finds his way to England’s shores next summer too.
Adeyemi “honoured” with rumours
Speaking after he continued his goalscoring streak by scoring against Wolfsburg, Adeyemi revealed that he was very relaxed about his future, despite speculation continuing to swirl about his potential next destination.
The reported Liverpool target said:
“I’m very relaxed about it. I feel honoured, but nothing more,”
“I have my focus here at Salzburg. We play well together. It works perfectly.
“First of all, I want to progress with Salzburg. Then we’ll look further.”
Adeyemi has been linked with a return to Germany with Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund interested, while Real Madrid have also seen their heads turned in recent weeks.
Could a move in January catch these three napping, and get Liverpool their man?
