Kylian Mbappe reveals what he said to Neymar during PSG spat

Mbappe and Neymar link up

Neymar and Kylian Mbappe are two of the best players on the planet, and both have spent the last four seasons playing together for Paris Saint Germain at the Parc de Princes. Between them, they have netted 224 goals in 305 appearances, as well as providing 142 assists, meaning that they average a goal or assist between them every 90 minutes.

However, the duo could soon be split up, with Mbappe into the final year of his contract with PSG, and the 22 year old telling L’Equipe that there was a long way to go before he signed a new deal, amid interest from Real Madrid last summer.

However, tempers flared in a Ligue 1 encounter between the Parisians and Montpellier, which they eventually came out of on the right side of a 2-0 scoreline.

It did not end there though, with Mbappe seen speaking animatedly on the PSG bench about the situation when he was substituted in the second half. Now, he has revealed quite what happened, and reassured the PSG faithful that no long term issues have arisen as a result. The Frenchman told L’Equipe:

“Yes, I called Neymar ‘bum’ because I wasn’t happy with a pass. These are things which happen all the time in football. That’s why, right after, given how it blew up, I spoke to him about it. This happens because we want to win. That’s it – no issue”.
