Kylian Mbappe reveals his PSG transfer stance amid Real Madrid links

Mbappe subject to Real Madrid interest

Kylian Mbappe is one of the hottest prospects in world football, and seems destined to become one of the greatest forwards of all time.

Still just 22 years old, the French star has racked up over 150 career goals, including 136 goals in 182 games for Paris Saint Germain.

He is also one cap shy of reaching 50 for the French national team, which, if he plays in the upcoming nations league finals, he will reach faster than his now-teammate Lionel Messi.

The Frenchman was subject to two bids from Real Madrid in the dying embers of the summer transfer window and has just 12 months left to run on his PSG deal, meaning that the Ligue 1 side risk losing one of their star men for nothing next summer.

Will he join Los Blancos next summer? Judging by his own comments, it seems likely.

Kylian Mbappe reveals his stance last summer

Speaking to RMC Sport in an exclusive interview due to be aired this evening, Mbappe outlined what happened last summer from his point of view, saying:

“I asked to leave, because from the moment where I did not want to extend, I wanted for the club to receive a transfer fee so that they could bring in a quality replacement.

This club has given me a lot, I have always been happy, the 4 years I have had here, and I still am.

I said it early enough so that the club could react. I wanted everyone to come out of this stronger, that we leave hand in hand, to make a good deal and I respected that. I said, if you don’t want me to go I will stay.”

Does this suggest he may stay at the Parc de Princes, or is a move still on the cards next summer?
