FPL fans take note: Solskjaer provides latest Luke Shaw update ahead of Man United vs Everton
Man United vs Everton
Saturday’s early Premier League kick-off will see Manchester United play host to Everton.
The Red Devils head into the game on a fairly mixed run of form in all competitions.
Man United did scrape a 2-1 win over Villarreal in the Champions League earlier this week, but it was not their most convincing display.
Elsewhere, Man United had lost to Aston Villa the weekend prior, been knocked out of the League Cup by West Ham, scraped a 2-1 win against the Hammers in the league and lost 2-1 vs Young Boys in Europe.
So, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and co. are no doubt desperate to improve on their recent performances this weekend vs Everton.
Man United head into the game sat 4th in the English top-flight, but could be down in 8th place by the time the gameweek is over.
Solskjaer on Luke Shaw
Ahead of the game, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would speak to the press on Friday afternoon.
The main talking point in the presser would be injury news.
Luke Shaw would pick up a knock vs Aston Villa last weekend:

And it has since been suggested that the left-back is ill and could miss out vs Everton.

And on Friday, Solskjaer would provide a fresh Shaw update, confirming the left-back is feeling better but United will need to make a decision on him. The Man United boss also gave an update on Marcus Rashford:
“Luke feels better in himself, he’s been ill, but he has the shoulder injury. We’ve got to make a decision on him. Marcus trained fully for the first time today with contact, there were a few tackles flying in and he seemed OK.”
#MUFC team news from Solskjaer for tomorrow: “Luke feels better in himself, he’s been ill, but he has the shoulder injury. We’ve got to make a decision on him. Marcus trained fully for the first time today with contact, there were a few tackles flying in and he seemed OK.”
