Former Chelsea outcast set for starring role in England vs Andorra

Tomori and Tammy Abraham called up

Alongside the pair of Chelsea players that are actually in the squad, two more former Chelsea boys have been called up in the form of Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham. Both players completed permanent switches to the Serie A, to AC Milan and Roma respectively, this summer. The moves between them fetched Chelsea a respectable 65 million euros.

However, both players have since proved that their true value may be more than that. Tomori has impressed at the heart of AC Milan’s defence, while Abraham, frozen out of the squad under Thomas Tuchel, has netted twice and provided three more assists in seven Serie A outings.

Abraham set to start

Now, as per Sky Sports, it is Abraham’s time to shine in an England shirt, and prove that he can replicate his Roma form. Gareth Southgate is set to start the 23 year old at the spearhead of his attack, with Harry Kane potentially being given the night off as a result.

Abraham will be looking to add to his solitary Three Lions goal in what will be his seventh appearance for the national team, and will be hoping to prove that Southgate was wrong to overlook players playing in leagues outside of England for so long.

Will the former Chelsea man find himself on the scoresheet this evening?
