Dusan Vlahovic makes his intentions for the future clear as Tottenham and two other Premier League clubs circle
Tottenham and Atletico Madrid chase Vlahovic
Tottenham and Atletico Madrid went head to head over the services of 21-year-old Serbian forward Dusan Vlahovic this past summer, only for him to turn down both clubs and remain in Serie A.
Spurs were looking for someone to play alongside Harry Kane, but were unable to land a new hitman, and are suffering as a result. However, they may now have been handed a big boost, should the Lilywhites remain interested in landing Vlahovic next summer.

Vlahovic is currently under contract with Fiorentina until 2023, and has begun the 2021-22 season in the same brilliant form that he finished 2020-21 in.
In eight games so far, the Serbian striker has netted six goals, showing why he was such hot property in the summer.
Vlahovic puts Premier League clubs on Red Alert
Fiorentina’s president Rocco Commisso had previously revealed that contract talks to tie down the Serbian hitman to a new deal had stalled, despite an impressively hefty salary having been offered by La Viola.
Fiorentina president Commisso to TMW: “I don’t know if Vlahovic will sign a new deal. We offered him €40m gross salary paid in five years, the biggest contract in Fiorentina history, more than Batistuta and Rui Costa. He’s taking a big risk – I’m getting nervous…” 🟣 #transfers

And, today, the news broke that all in purple were dreading. Commisso revealed that talks has collapsed over a new contract, leaving Fiorentina in the lurch having not cashed in on their prime asset last summer.
Commisso said:
“Vlahovic has not accepted our huge contract extension proposal. We’ve been trying for months, but it’s over”.

This means that he will likely be available at a cut-price (well below the 70-80 million pounds asked for last summer), and will surely have sent Premier League clubs into red alert. Tottenham remain in need of a forward, while Manchester City will need alternatives having failed to land Harry Kane last summer.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also allegedly in the hunt for a new frontman, although quite what they could offer above the other two clubs, who are at least in Europe, is questionable. Should Antoine Greizmann not make his return to Atletico Madrid permanent, Atletico could also renew their interest, while as always Juventus will surely be sniffing around more prime Serie A real estate.
Where will Vlahovic end up?
