Tottenham new boy Bryan Gil reveals the three things Nuno Espirito Santo has demanded of him

Tottenham sign Bryan Gil

In one of the more exciting transfers of the summer, Tottenham acquired the services of Bryan Gil from Sevilla, who spent the 2020-21 season on loan at SD Eibar.

The 20-year-old signed a five-year contract, which will keep him in north London until 2026. He has started brightly too, earning comparisons to Tottenham legend Ossie Ardiles in his most recent start for the club.

Although he is yet to open his goalscoring account for his new club in seven appearances, he has recorded an assist and has impressed during limited game time for Nuno Espirito Santo, offering glimpses of why he was described as the “little Cruyff” in Spain.

Gil reveals Nuno’s demands

However, at just 20 years old Gil still has plenty of room to improve. Speaking ahead of Tottenham’s Europa Conference League tie against Slovenian Champions NS Mura, the Spaniard revealed that his new manager has asked him to do just that.

Indeed, there were three specific things that were pointed out to him as areas of improvement: his physical condition, his weight, and his ability to speak English.

Gil claimed that he is now working on all three as he bids to nail down a starting spot in the Tottenham side.

“Gil reveals Nuno has asked him to gain weight, improve his physical condition & learn English. Says he’s working on all three.”

While he is yet to hit top gear for Spurs, he is certainly a player to watch in the coming seasons.
